Looking at ways that our brain is tricked and the science that explains the mysteries behind our entertainment – from toys to special FX, optical illusions and magic, prepare to be confused and enlightened. Bricks 4 Kidz - Lego Arts Camp

Join bricks 4 kidz for this exploration into arts. We will build, paint, craft and play. Kids will learn about art techniques as well as the artists who made it famous. Lego Spin-Art, Impressionism by stamping 1x1 lego bricks – Imagine the possibilities! Artwork will be displayed in a “gallery show” on the final day of camp. There is a $20 materials fee payable to the instructor at the first class.

Play-Well TEKnologies - Engineering: Mine, Craft, Build using LEGO®

Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO! Build a motorized walking Creeper, a terrifying Ghast, and a motorized Minecart! This project-based course, designed by Play-Well instructors, combines the basic format of our core engineering-themed programs based on the world of Minecraft. Students will explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft objects. Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO.

Freshi Media Online Courses - NEW!

Freshi Media online courses include a 3 month subscription, beginning at first log-in. Enrollment period from Jan. 9 – June 2.  Students may work at their own pace during the subscription period.  Software is compatible with MAC or PC, with one exception: “Video Game Coding and Design” is not compatible with El Capitan MAC operating system. Video Game Coding and Design

Learn to create a video game from home or on the go! Using Freshi Learning Online lessons and Multimedia Fusion software, students will use web based video lessons to learn the basic principles of conditional coding and will work on creating a basic video game. Students will make characters interact with the game environment, more aound the screen and much more!

Digital Comic Book Creation

Learn to create a Digital Comic Book at home or on the go! Using Freshi Learning Online, students will use web based video lessons to learn the creative process of Comic Book Creation. Students make their own digital comic book complete with heroes, villains and epic adventures! Working with Comic Life software, kids create an original multi-page full color comic.

3-D Animation Skills and Techniques

Learn how to create 3D animations at home or on the go! Using Freshi Learning Online, students will use web based video lessons to learn basic principles of the 3D animation process. Students use Blender Software to learn how to create short 3D Animations using primary objects (cubes, spheres and cylinders). Once they are familiar with the animation process, students will learn 3D Modeling which includes creating geometric faces, vertices, and edges.

Website Creator!

Learn the fundamentals of web design at home or on the go! Using Freshi Learning Online lessons and Wordpress CMS, students will learn basic principles of web design.
