Please join the City of Alameda, along with partners at the Alameda Unified School District, the AUSD Black Achievers Alliance, the Alameda Boys & Girls Club, the Bay Area Community Resources LEAPS Expanded Learning Program, Alameda Point Collaborative, Mastick Senior Center, Alameda PTA Council, Girls Inc., Alameda Recreation and Parks Department, and the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda, in participating in the I Am Alameda photo project.

Alameda is a beautiful place to live and work. We want to celebrate the island’s diversity by showcasing photographs of Alameda residents and workers.

The City will collect photographs that celebrate the island’s diversity. Anything goes, from selfies to portraits to group shots. We will upload all the photos we receive to an online gallery and create a public exhibit.

December 7-29: Send in your photos!

January 4: Online gallery is live

January 12: Public exhibit and celebration at Alameda Island Brewing Company (starts at 5pm)

There are two easy ways to submit your photograph by December 29:

1. Add your photograph to this Dropbox folder and be sure to include your email address

2. Email your photograph

Submitting your photo authorizes the City of Alameda to use your (or your child’s/ward’s) photograph for this community photo project, as well as in any future community informational communications (including, but not limited to the website and social media) produced by the City of Alameda.

With questions or ideas for creating a public exhibit of the photographs, please contact (510) 747-4714 or email shenry@alamedaca.gov.
