Well known Oakland artist Benny Alba is exhibiting her paintings from Sunday December 29, 2013 through Saturday January 25, 2014 at the Alameda Main Library, 1550 Oak Street, on the second floor.

The artist notes that we are all thinking about storms lately: Winter Storms, Big Rains, and Climate Change. Here is a look at weather traveling across the great American plains. Benny Alba's 16 hour drive from Pocatello Idaho to Oakland in a single day meant watching weather ... hail, sunshine, rain, rainbows, sleet, snow, black clouds, and three white-outs. Come and see what this artist chose to make into paintings.

An art reception, where the artist will discuss her work, will be held on Wednesday January 15, 2014, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Regina K Stafford meeting room. Everyone is welcome.
