Streetlight Conduit Replacement Fernside Boulevard Commencing

Published on July 24, 2024

The City’s Streetlight Conduit Replacement project on Fernside Boulevard will begin during the first week of August and completion is estimated by mid-November 2024.  Construction work hours are restricted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.  The work will consist of removing and replacing streetlight conduit, conductors, and streetlight pull boxes, on Fernside Boulevard from Tilden Way to High Street.

The City will notice residents prior to the contractor mobilizing into a particular area.  The contractor will also provide advanced notice and will place “No Parking” signs 72-hours in advance of when the work will begin and parking restrictions will become effective.

The City will make every effort to minimize disruptions.  The contractor will work to keep one lane of traffic open at all times, but motorists and residents may experience minor disruptions in traffic, temporary loss of on-street parking, an increase in noise levels, and dust during construction.

The City appreciates your cooperation and patience, and apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this project may cause.  Questions or information regarding the project should be directed to John Tallitsch or Trung Nguyen at (510) 747-7900.  This project is funded by General Fund and the Construction Improvement Tax.
