Media Advisory: Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle Takes Maiden Voyage

The Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle will embark on its maiden voyage on Wednesday, July 17, at 7:00 am. Media is invited to cover this exciting event highlighting this new convenient and scenic transportation option between the two East Bay cities.

WHAT: Inaugural journey of the Woodstock, the free Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle, traveling across the Estuary from Jack London Square to Alameda Landing. This marks the launch of a two-year pilot program offering a safe and reliable transportation option for residents and visitors.

WHERE: Join us at the public docks:

  • Bohol Circle Immigrant Park (foot of 5th Street, Alameda)
  • Jack London Square (foot of Broadway, Oakland)

WHEN: The inaugural run departs:

  • 7:00 am: Jack London Square (Oakland)
  • 7:15 am: Bohol Circle Immigrant Park

Following the initial run, the Woodstock will operate 37 one-way trips Wednesday-Sunday. See the full schedule here.
