Just before 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 11, the Alameda Police Department responded to the intersection of Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue for the report of a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male in the roadway. The motorcyclist succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The preliminary investigation suggests the motorcyclist collided with a vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Members of the Alameda Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene to assume the investigation. The investigation is in its early stages, and the cause of the collision has yet to be determined. We send our heartfelt condolences to the motorcyclist's family and loved ones during this difficult time.
