Gardening 101 at the Alameda Free Library

Learn how easy and fun gardening can be. Join Lori Caldwell to learn the basics to be a successful first-time gardener. Topics will include deciphering the terminology, healthy soil building, transplanting and plant choice by season, seeds vs. starts, non-toxic pest control, reuse in the garden, and tips and tricks.

This program will be held on Saturday, February 8, from 2:00 - 3:30 pm in the Stafford Room at the Main Library.

Alameda Free Library is located at 1550 Oak Street and is wheelchair accessible. The Main Library is served by AC Transit routes 21 and 51A. Bicycle parking racks are available at the library.
