1-year-old dies from shooting injuries

The City of Alameda is very sad to share that baby Wesley, the fifth victim in the tragic domestic shooting that took place Wednesday, July 10, did not survive his injuries and passed away at a local hospital.

Last week’s horrific incident continues to deeply affect community members. At a daytime vigil that took place Sunday, July 14, Reverand Laura Rose shared how important it is to connect with community members and be there for people who need support.

Crisis Support Services of Alameda County provides individual and group grief counseling and has a 24-hour crisis hotline at 1-800-309-2131. You can also call the 9-8-8 lifeline 24/7 for free and confidential support.
