Island Hopper: Alameda Point's Free Weekend Shuttle

Final Weekend for the Island Hopper 2024

Dear Community,

Thank you for supporting the Island Hopper Shuttle pilot over the past four months! We’re grateful for your enthusiasm and participation. As we approach the winter season and see a natural decline in ridership, the shuttle will conclude following its final day of service on December 8th. We value your feedback as we plan for the future. If you have any final thoughts or suggestions—or if you’d like to see the service return in late spring/summer—please take a moment to share your input through our survey.

Let’s make the most of the remaining weekend! Hop on the Island Hopper one last time on December 7th and/or 8th, and enjoy the holiday season ahead.

With appreciation,
TheAlamedaTMATeam

If you haven't read about it yet:

The Island Hopper is Alameda Point's free weekend shuttle! The service operates on two routes, the Blue Main Street Ferry Route and the Yellow Water Shuttle Route, bringing passengers to Alameda Points' restaurants, breweries, wineries, activities, and more!

  • The Blue Main Street Ferry route meets the arrivals and departures of the Oakland-Alameda Ferry at the Main St. Ferry terminal.
  • The Yellow Water Shuttle Route meets the arrivals and departures of the Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle at Bohol Circle.

As of November 9th, the Water Shuttle route schedule has been updated to align with the new Oakland Alameda Water Shuttle schedule. See the shuttle stops, route timetables, and route map below!

The Island Hopper is ADA accessible, and bicycles are welcome.
