Vice Mayor Michele Pryor
Councilmember Michele Pryor was elected to the City Council in November 2024, bringing a fresh perspective and a commitment to collaboration in local government. Michele has grown deep roots in the community and a passion for public service.
Michele graduated from Central Washington University with degrees in Early Childhood Education, and Child Development and has spent over 15 years working in public schools teaching students with special needs. She is currently 1st Vice President of Fremont Unified District Teachers Association.
As a city councilmember, Michele is dedicated to enhancing public safety, improving infrastructure to address climate change resiliency and affordable housing,and supporting small businesses. She believes in fostering open communication between residents and local government to ensure that all voices are heard and valued.
In addition to her council duties, Michele is a delegate on the Alameda County Labor Council, standing up for working families. Michele is also a delegate for the National Education Association. She is excited to serve the community and work towards a sustainable, inclusive future for all Alameda residents.
