Junior Leader Program

JUNIOR LEADER PROGRAM FOR GRADES 9TH TO 12TH (INCOMING FALL 2025)
 2025 Junior Leaders
This exciting new program is for Incoming 9th to 12th Graders for Fall 2025  with a special encouragement for candidates who have previously participated in the ARPD Summer Teen Volunteer Program.  The program aims to prepare Junior Leaders for future employment and the possibility of working for ARPD.  Junior Leaders will have the opportunity to further develop their skills in working with youth while enjoying a meaningful and fun learning experience.
Junior Leaders will be assigned to work alongside Staff in various ARPD youth programs, such as Tiny Tots, Day Camp, WOW, STEAM, Sports Camp, and more, depending on program needs. They will learn how to lead activities and be responsible for implementing them during their shifts.  In addition to their daily shifts, Junior Leaders will participate in a weekly "staff" meeting with a Recreation Assistant and/or Recreation Manager.
