The City of Alameda (“City”) will accept sealed proposals for its On Call Maintenance, Repair and/or Replacement Services for Residential Roofing at Alameda Point Main Street Neighborhood.
The bid opening date is Tuesday, April 1, 2025. All bids are due no later than 2:00 p.m. to the City of Alameda, Base Reuse and Economic Development Department, 950 West Mall Square, Suite 205, Alameda. The bid opening time is 2:01 p.m.
Project Summary
The City is responsible for operation and maintenance of 67 single family homes in the Alameda Point Main Street Neighborhood. The Base Reuse and Economic Development Department is looking for contractors to assist with as-needed, scheduled and emergency repair work to residential roofing, including wood sheathing, fascia trim, flashing, gutters, downspouts and abatement, if needed. The objective of this RFP is to maintain the roofing systems while not changing the basic appearances of the homes. All work is to be replaced or supplemented in kind. All materials repairs and replacements shall be at least equal to existing improvements and shall match them in finish and dimension. If awarded, the contract will be for three years with options to extend for one year, up to two times. The contract amount for the first three years will not exceed $600,000 total, and will increase by up to $100,000 per one-year contract extension. Multiple contracts may be awarded and there is no guarantee for work.
The selected Contractors shall furnish all tools, equipment, transportation, labor, and materials to perform all work authorized under this agreement. All work performed and equipment and parts supplied by the Contractor shall be subject to the inspection and approval of the Project Manager or designee.
Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Walk
There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and Site Walk scheduled for March 18, 2025 at 11:00am. ALL bidders must attend. Prospective bidders will meet at City Hall West, 950 West Mall Square, Room 201, Alameda, CA. A sign-in sheet will be issued, and shared, to record attendees. ALL Site Walk attendees must complete and sign the Waiver/Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, and Indemnification Agreement posted with the bid documents. Hard copies are to be submitted at the Site walk.
