For Alameda Teens in 6th to 12th Grades

 

AYC is currently recruiting NEW members for the 2014-15 school year!

 

Alameda Youth Committee (AYC)

Get involved with planning activities for teens:  dances, trips, training, community issues, and fundraising.  AYC teens have the opportunity to voice their opinions, concerns and desires for Alameda youth.

 

We are seeking serious and responsible teens who would like hands-on experience and youth leadership development.  AYC participants build strong relationships and collaborations to reinforce their communication skills and planning abilities.

 

Your creativity, past experience, social skills, and community spirit are just what we’re looking for.  A commitment is required and community hours will be earned.  Interviews are conducted prior to acceptance.

 

AYC Requirements:

  • In 6th to 12th grades as of Fall 2014
  • Minimum one year committment
  • Able to attend two meetings a month (see meeting information on information flyer)
  • Willing to volunteer and participate in youth activities and events.
