Alameda Walks

 

ALAMEDA WALKS – 2014 Schedule

 All walks begin at 9 a.m. and last approximately one hour.  When walks are longer, it will be noted plus new walks are indicated. Look for the red Alameda Walks hats! While we love the furry pets, we prefer that they wait for you at home.

 

Sept. 6 Bike Bridge to Bay Farm

Meet at Lincoln Middle School parking lot on Fernside Drive.

This walk will be a casual walk over the bridge and along the north side of Bay Farm Island.

Enjoy spectacular views of San Francisco and the Bay.

Sept. 13 Woodstock Landing & town Settlement

Meet at Woodstock Park, 351 Cypress Street (off 3rd Street) in front of Recreation Center.

This walk will discuss the original town settlement of the Woodstock landing area.

Dennis Evanosky and Eric Kos will lead this walk.

Note: walk is 1 hour 15 minutes

 

October 4 Fernside Walk

Meet at the parking lot of Encinal Market and world

headquarters of the Alameda Sun on High Street & Encinal Street.

This walk will discuss interesting aspects of the East end and Fernside area of Alameda.

Dennis Evanosky and Eric Kos will lead this walk.

Note: walk is 1 hour 15 minutes

 

October 11 Park Street history and classic cars

Meet in front of Alameda Museum, 2324 Alameda Ave.

This walk will focus on the Park Street Area and its history and will end with opportunities

to visit Classic Car Show and the Alameda Museum.

Robert Perricone will lead this walk.

Note: walk is 1 hour and 15 minutes
