Review Crime Statistics

The Monthly Crime Report is a part of the Alameda Police Department’s ongoing efforts to share crime data with the community in a timely manner. The monthly reports provide a snapshot of crime reports at the end of each month. As of December 17, 2024, the design of the Monthly Crime Reports has been updated. This update includes both previously uploaded reports and future reports. The new format is aligned with the monthly reports used by APD command staff to review crime statistics, optimize police resource allocation, improve responses to emerging crime trends, and enhance services to the community.

APD submits crime data consistent with the NIBRS methodology to the FBI, as required. The monthly crime summaries use the FBI’s NIBRS crime categories, reflecting the number of cases reported each month within each category. Please allow 10-14 business days after the end of each calendar month for processing and publication.
