Volunteers Wanted for Coastal Cleanup Day
The Public Works Department, in collaboration with the East Bay Regional Park District, is sponsoring the City of Alameda’s Annual Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 21 from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Robert W. Crown Memorial State Beach along Shoreline Drive. Please check in at Shoreline Drive at Westline Drive. This annual event provides the opportunity for all Alamedans to improve the appearance of our coastline by removing trash, litter, and debris from the City’s shoreline. Volunteers are asked to bring their own reusable bucket or bag and heavy-duty gloves and to wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Volunteers under the age of 18, who are accompanied by an adult, are welcome. Please pre-register on East Bay Regional Park District's web site.
