Meet the Chiefs




Chief Zombeck joined the Alameda Fire Department as a Firefighter in 1983. Throughout the years Chief Zombeck has worked diligently to promote through the ranks of the Fire Department to his current position of Division Chief.  Prior to becoming a Chief, Chief Zombeck was active in the community as well as Alameda Firefighters Association, serving a term as its Treasurer.  As Division Chief he serves as a shift platoon commander. Along with his shift responsibilities, Chief Zombeck is in charge of the Information Technology and Communications for the Department. Since being promoted to Chief Officer, he has acted as the Administrative Division Chief for periods where his efforts are needed in that capacity.


Chief Zombeck is a graduate of Cal State University Long Beach where he obtained his Masters of Science in Emergency Service Administration.
