The San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge is scheduled to close from 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28 to 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
AC Transit, the San Francisco Bay Ferry, and BART will be running, so commuters have many options. AC Transit’s Transbay lines running between the City of Alameda and San Francisco (Lines O, OX and W) will run instead to West Oakland BART, and will charge only $2.90 one-way fare.
