The City of Alameda offers charming, intimate civil ceremonies at the historic Alameda City Hall located at 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.
Civil marriage ceremonies are conducted by appointment only, Monday through Thursday from 10: 00 am to 4:00 pm.

Virtual Tour of Council Chambers
Three wedding packages are offered in the Council Chambers and photography services can be added to any package.
The Grand Chambers: $340.00 - 1 hour Council Chamber rental
Bliss: $235.00 - 1/2 hour rental, maximum 20 guests
Signed, Sealed & Expedited: $165.00 - 15 minutes rental, maximum 5 guests
A staff photographer is available to capture the memories of your ceremony for $250.00 which includes a disc mailed to you with all the high resolution edited images.
$50.00 processing fee
$130.00 one hour Council Chambers rental
$80.00 per hour for Staff Event Assistant
$25.00 insurance (only needed if Indemnity & Hold Harmless Agreement not signed)
Cash, checks, and money orders made payable to the City of Alameda, as well as credit cards, are accepted.
Those interested in having one of the City's Deputy Marriage Commissioners perform their civil marriage ceremony must bring a valid marriage license, valid photo IDs, and a witness.

Marriage License: Your license will be forwarded to the Alameda County Clerk. The County Clerk will process it and return it to you in approximately 2 weeks. If you do not receive your license, please follow up with the County Clerk at 510-272-6362.
