The City of Alameda offers charming, intimate civil ceremonies at the historic Alameda City Hall located at 2263 Santa Clara Avenue.
Civil marriage ceremonies are conducted by appointment only, Monday through Thursday from 10: 00 am to 4:00 pm.

Three wedding packages are offered in the Council Chambers and photography services can be added to any package.
The Grand Chambers: $275.00 - 1 hour rental, maximum 100 guests
Bliss: $180.00 - 1/2 hour rental, maximum 20 guests
Signed, Sealed & Expedited: $115.00 - 15 minutes rental, maximum 5 guests
A staff photographer is available to capture the memories of your ceremony for $70.00 an hour. A secure online wedding album will be created for you, your family and friends to enjoy. You then have the option to purchase individual prints or the entire collection of images. Please email the photographer if you have any questions.

$70.00 per hour for Staff Photographer
$25.00 insurance (only needed if Indemnity & Hold Harmless Agreement not signed)
Cash, checks, and money orders made payable to the City of Alameda, as well as credit cards, are accepted.
Those interested in having one of the City's Deputy Marriage Commissioners perform their civil marriage ceremony must bring a valid marriage license, valid photo IDs, and a witness.

Marriage License: Your license will be forwarded to the Alameda County Clerk. The County Clerk will process it and return it to you in approximately 2 weeks. If you do not receive your license, please follow up with the County Clerk at 510-272-6362.
