The City of Alameda is soliciting proposals for the Pedestrian Push Button Upgrades Proposed for Blind or Visually-Impaired Individuals, No. P.W. 12-14-17.
The work to be done consists of doing all work associated with furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, material, and traffic control except as herein specified, and doing all work associated with the installation of new traffic signal conduit, pull boxes, concrete, pedestrian signal pole, pedestrian signal head housing, installation of new LED countdown pedestrian modules and installation of new accessible pedestrian signal system in existing pedestrian signal. Reconnect it to existing service system and adjustments to provide a complete operating and functional system. All work is to be in conformance with the plans and specifications as required by the Engineer.
Plans, specifications, and proposal forms for bidding this project can only be obtained at City Hall West, Public Works Department, 950 W. Mall Square, Room 110, Alameda, CA 94501. As of Monday January 12, 2015 by 12:00 p.m.

Payment must be in the exact amount in either cash or check. Make checks payable to City of Alameda.
Bids must be presented to the Public Works Department, 950 W. Mall Square, Room 110, Alameda, California, under sealed cover, plainly marked on the outside, "Installation of Pedestrian Push Button Upgrades Proposed for Blind or Visually-Impaired Individuals, No. P.W. 12-14-17”, not later than 2:00 p.m. on the date set forth in the following paragraph.
A Non-Mandatory prebid meeting will be held at Alameda Point, 950 W. Mall Square, Room 140, Alameda, California, 94501 on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. City reserves the right to hold additional prebid meetings as necessary for contractors to visit the site.
Bids will be opened in the Public Works Department, 950 W. Mall Square, Room 110, Alameda, California, at 2:01 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015.
