Repairing Alameda’s Aging Infrastructure
Alameda prides itself on its strong quality of life. However, the City has a backlog of millions in repairs and maintenance to our roads and storm drains, and inadequate funding to properly maintain the condition of our 21 community and neighborhood parks.
This year’s annual community survey asked the public about a range of issues, including satisfaction with some of the services we provide, issues of concern to the public and infrastructure needs. The top infrastructure priorities identified by your neighbors in that survey included:
- Repairing potholes
- Maintaining and repairing public storm drains to keep pollution out of the Bay
- Maintaining the condition of neighborhood parks
- Improving traffic safety/flow
The City would like to hear more from the public as we develop a strategy to address these needs. Please join the conversation TODAY. Tell us what is important to you by completing an online Community Feedback Survey. If you would like us to visit your neighborhood or organization with for a presentation/input session, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
